2. Psalms and hymns, most of which are signed by Thomas Wenman. f. 3 3.
3. The Lamentation of a Sinner; in 61 six-line stanzas. f. 38. Reversing the volume is the beginning of a poem entitled:-
4. " Traicte de Dame Anne Boullam iadis Royne d'Angleterre, par ung gentillome francoys, 1601." f. 50 b. The first three articles, and a specimen of the fourth, were published from this MS. with the title The Legend of Mary, Queen of Scots, and other Ancient Poems, London, 1810, the editor ascribing the authorship to Thomas Wenman, mentioned above, whom he identifies as the Public Orator of Oxford, in 1594, who bore that name. Paper; ff. 51. The name of Wenman, as owner of the volume, with the date 1601, is on the fly-leaf at the end; and on f. 2 is that of W. Stonehouse of the 17th century. From the library of Rev. T.
