2. "Ruffi Sexti viri consularis rerum gestarum populi Romani ad Valentinianum Augustum" libellus.. f. 53. Vellum; ff. 66. Written in Italy, and ornamented with illuminated initials and a partial border; and having at the beginning a wellexecuted drawing, slightly tinted with colours, of Silvanus approaching the sleeping Iole. A shield of arms, paly of six, or and gules, is introduced into the border, f. 3. Late xvth cent. On the fly-leaf, f. 1, is written, in a contemporary hand, "Liber mei Bartolomei de Palazio." In the original binding of stamped leather, partly gilt, with book-plate of Sir Bourchier Wrey, Bart. Octavo. From the Farnborough Fund.
