"CRONICA monasterii de Melsa [Meaux, co. Ebor], de fundacione et progressu ejusdem, perquisicionibus et infeodacionibus tenementorum eidem pertinencium, placitis, processibus, oneracionibus, et aliis ipsum concernentibus; distincta per vices et tempora singulorum Abbatum seriatim et successive eidem presidentium," from the year 1150 to about the year 1400, f. 11. Prefixed is a table of chapters, as also a catalogue of the Abbats, and lists of the lands acquired tinder each. Some portions of the Chronicle have been abstracted; viz. capp. i.-iv. and part of cap. vii. of the Abbacy of Hugh de Leven, after f. 102; and the whole of the second Abbacy of William de Dringhoe, in two chapters, together with cap. i. of the Abbacy of his successor, William de Scarborough, after f. 119.
