"CRONICA monasterii de Melsa [Meaux, co. Ebor], de fundacione et progressu ejusdem, perquisicionibus et infeodacionibus tenementorum eidem pertinencium, placitis, processibus, oneracionibus, et aliis ipsum concernentibus; distincta per vices et tempora singulorum Abbatum seriatim et successive eidem presidentium," from the year 1150 to about the year 1400, f. 11. Prefixed is a table of chapters, as also a catalogue of the Abbats, and lists of the lands acquired tinder each. Some portions of the Chronicle have been abstracted; viz. capp. i.-iv. and part of cap. vii. of the Abbacy of Hugh de Leven, after f. 102; and the whole of the second Abbacy of William de Dringhoe, in two chapters, together with cap. i. of the Abbacy of his successor, William de Scarborough, after f. 119. II., and concluded circa 5 Hen.
