They relate to schemes for his escape from Carisbrooke Castle, and are dated from the 26th of April to the 10th of July, 1648, f. 3; Letter of Charles II. to [supporters of his cause in England ?], acknowledging an address, and desiring that deputies may be sent to assist in his treaty with the Scottish Commissioners; Jersey, 23/13 Jan. 1650/49.
