CORRESPONDENCE and papers of the family of Gawdy, Barts., of West Harling , co. Norfolk; 1509 - 1751. By the marriage of Ann, only daughter and eventually sole heiress of Si], John Gawdy, 2nd Bart., with Oliver Le Neve, of Great Witchingham, co. Norfolk, the collection passed into the possession of, and was continue by, the Le Neve family. On the death of Oliver in 1711, it came to his brother Peter Le Neve, Norroy Herald, and afterwards to Thomas Martin, of Palgrave, who married Peter Le Neve's widow. For further correspondence of the family of Gawdy, see Add. 27,395 - 27,397. The letters here amount in number to 3276 ; and the names of the writers are given in the Index. Ten volumes. Paper. Folio. The last two volumes are from the Farnborough Fund.
