Somerset, under the lordship of Sir Thomas Hales, 2nd Bart., and Mary his wife (sister and heiress of Sir Charles Pym, 2nd Bart.); 1709-1736. Included are the following:-(1) a list of matters falling within the jurisdiction of a court-leet, f. I;-(2) a copy of a contract, 1689, between Sir Thomas Hales and Thomas Gedfrey of Westminster adding the life of Godfrey's daughter to lands held by him by copyhold in the manor of Haygrove with Bridgwater, f. 2;-(3) copies of the forms of oath to be sworn by the various officers of the manor, f. 118. Paper; ff. ii+118. Folio. 1689-1736. Original covers of limp vellum. On the front cover (f. 1) in a contemporary hand is an inscription: 'Manors of Wollavington, Throcmorton and Pym-Haygrove with Bridgwater, and Cutcombe Mohun, and Cutcombe Rawleigh' and (in another hand): 'Court Book from 1709 to 1736.'
