THE TREGIAN ANTHOLOGY
Collection of madrigals, motets, fantasias, etc., mostly by Italian and English composers of the 16th and early 17th centuries, transcribed in score by Francis Tregian (d. 1619), the compiler of the Fitzwilliam Virginal Book.The contents fall into the following main sections:- (1) Villanelle for three voices by Marenzio, Coperario, Orologio, Caccini and anonymous.
