SCOTT PAPERS. Vol. XXXIV. Records of a London dining club, apparantly the Smeatonian Society of Civil Engineers; 1825-1841. Accounts for each dinner, usually receipted by John Cuff, proprietor of the Freemasons' Tavern, are generally accompanied by signatures of members present, who include William Chadwell Mylne (d. 1863) and his son, Robert William Mylne (d. 1890), successive Treasurers of the Society. A facsimile of two previous record books of the Society is in the Department of Printed Books, Ac. 4314/2. See also S. B.
