Medical practitioner's notebook and pharmacopoeia; 18th cent. The anonymous author's connection with the Gibson family of Quernmore Park and White Lee, Goosnargh, co. Lanc., is suggested by the inclusion in the notebook of letters and prescriptions addressed to Robert Gibson and the Reverend John Gibson; see H. Fishwick, The History of the Parochial Chapelry of Goosnargh in the County of Lancaster (1871), p. 159. Purchased at Bloomsbury Book Auctions from the Farnborough Fund, July 1990.
