NORFOLK CARTULARY: roll cartulary of the Bokenham family, co. Norf., containing transcripts of twenty-three charters dating from the early 13th cent. to 1469; early 17th cent. An attempt has been made to give an impression of the appearance of the original charters by making coloured drawings of their outlines, tags and seals and, in the case of some of the 12th cent. charters, by imitating the original scripts. The charters chiefly relate to Snetterton, Hargham and Eccles, co. Norf. On the dorse is a note of the contents of the roll by Francis Blomefield, the county historian. Phillipps MS. 26600. See also Sotheby's sale catalogue, 28-29 June 1965, lot 200. Purchased, with 63604, 63605, 63607, 63608 and Add. Ch. 76528-76606, at Sotheby's, New York, 22 May 1985, lot 316.
