COURT OF COMMON PLEAS: remembrance-roll of Richard Colnett, as an exigenter of the Court of Common Pleas; Trinity Term 1537. Latin. Possibly used to assist the compilation of Colnett's membranes in the plea roll, Public Record Office, CP 40/1094. Sewn to the roll as a cover is a lease of the manor of Caldecote, co. Hertf., by the Abbot and Convent of St Albans to John Hukhull the elder, of Caldecote, 3 Nov. 1479. Purchased at Phillips', 24 Oct. 1985, lot 609.
Vellum. Three membranes sewn Exchequer-fashion. Average width 240mm.
