FREDERIC PROKOSCH (b.1908, d.1989): illuminated calligraphic copies of poems by W. H. Auden, T. S. Eliot, Robinson Jeffers, Stephen Spender and W. B. Yeats; 1933-1935. These manuscript copies were made simultaneously with a limited edition of printed volumes both of which were published at Bryn Mawr. The books are of a limited edition of two copies. Presented by the artist, 15 Dec. 1975.

Paper. Eight parts. 108 x 158mm. Each part has illuminated initials and foliate motifs with signed illuminated miniatures facing title-page (f. 1). Prokosch bookplates on inside covers.
