Imperfect fair copies. The notes are similar in content to the sections on magnetism and projectiles in Robison's System of Mechanical Philosophy (1822). Owned by James Orchard Halliwell ('Bibl. Hall. 123', Add. 60270 A, f. 1; Nos. 120, 121 in the catalogue of Halliwell's scientific manuscripts reprinted in A. N. L. Munby, The History and Bibliography of Science in England: the First Phase, 1833-1845 (Los Angeles, 1968), p. 39). Bound with other manuscript notes and Robison's Outlines of Mechanical Philosophy (Edinburgh, 1781) when acquired by the Patent Office Library, circa Sept. 1922. Transferred from the Science Reference Library, June 1978.
