All three tracts have been copied from printed editions and include many carefully executed diagrams. No. 948 in 19th cent. English bookseller's catalogue (pasted-down cutting, f. ii). Heraldic bookplate of [Edward?] Almack, f. i. Acquired by the Patent Office Library, Feb. 1912 (Ac. No. 44777). Transferred from the Science Reference Library, June 1978.

2. ff. 24v-31v. 'Gnomonices libri octo, in quibus non solum horologiorum solarium, sed aliarum quoque rerum, quae ex Gnomonis umbra cognosci possunt, descriptiones geometrice demonstrantur, Auctore Christophoro Clavio Bambergensi, Societatis Jesu. Romae anno 1581'. Latin.
3. ff. 32-67v. 'La perspective curieuse du Rd. Père Niceron Minime, divisée en 4 livres, avec l'optique et la catoptrique du Rd. Père Mersenne du mesme ordre, mise en lumière après la mort de l'auteur. Oeuvre très utile aux peintres, Architectes, Sculpteurs, Graveurs et à tous autres qui se meslent du dessein. A Paris, chez la veufve F. Langlois dit Chartres, rue St. Jacques aux colomnes d'Hercule 1692'. French. Niceron's work was first published in 1638. See R.
