EDWARD I: wardrobe counter-roll of the necessary expenses of King Edward I, Queen Eleanor and the royal household, 20 Nov. 1289 - 19 Nov. 1290; circa 1290. Latin. The payments amount to £4,837 10s. 11½d. No. 1435 (label, m. 1v) in a 19th cent. sale catalogue, possibly Payne's. In the same sale Add. 46350 was No. 1442. Purchased from the bookseller Payne by Sir Thomas Phillipps, Bart. (Phillipps MS. 13641). Sold at Sotheby's, 24 June 1935, lot 108. Purchased at Sotheby's, 11 July 1978, lot 40, in memory of Thomas Sidney Blakeney, benefactor of the British Museum and British Library, with the aid of a contribution from the Friends of the National Libraries.
