LETTERS (179) OF BERNARD BARTON, the Quaker poet (b. 1784, d. 1849), to John Wodderspoon of Ipswich, arranged roughly chronologically; 1843-1849. Letters on ff. 34, 59, 103, 122, 146, 158, 207, 209, 287, 312, 333, 336 bear engraved or printed headings. Preceded (ff. ii-iv) by a list of the letters. Originally contained 219 letters of which 34 have been removed, only stubs of their guards now remaining. Some or all of the 19 letters of Barton to Wodderspoon, 1843-1847, now Add.
