LETTERS AND PAPERS OF AND RELAT1NG To HANNAH MORE, collected by Henry Herbert Wills (d. 1922) and his wife, Dame Mary Monica Cunliffe Wills, D.B.E., while resident at Hannah More's house, Barley Wood, Wrington, co. Som. Included are four autograph letters of Hannah More, written in 1788-1818, the actor (ff. 2-12), a short autograph poem entitled 'The Bazaar', 1827 (f. 16; not published in the 1829 edition of her Poems), various portraits of her and views of her houses, Cowslip Green and Barley Wood, mostly engraved (ff. 18-39), and related documents and correspondence. Paper; ff. 52. Large folio. 1788-1913. Presented by Mrs Olga Cunliffe Hopkinson to supplement the gift by her late sister, Dame M. M. C. Wills, of three letters of Hannah More, now Add. MS. 42711, ff. 50-55 b.
