JOACHIM CORRESPONDENCE: original correspondence, in German, of Joseph Joachim, the violinist, and other members of his family; 1839-1881. Many of the letters are undated, and their order is consequently not always certain. Arranged as follows:-

(1) Letters from Joseph Joachim, with a number from his wife, Amalie Weiss, whom he married in 1863, (a) to his parents Julius and Fanny Joachim 1844-1867 (ff. 1-100), and (b) to his brother Friedrich, 1860-1881 (ff. 101- 192). Not included in J. Joachim and A. Moser, Briefe von und an Joseph ,Joachim, 3 vols., 1911-1913. ff. 1-192.
