CALENDAR, in Italian, giving the major feasts of the church year observed in Malta, together with memorials for these feasts. The Calendar lacks May to August and includes:-19 Jan., St Publius (first bishop of Malta); 10 Feb. 'Nafragio (sic) di S Paolo apostolo in Malta Padre Padrone e Prottettore (sic) de Malta'; Sunday after the Nativity of the B.V.M., Feast of the Name of Mary (instituted in 1683); 13 Nov., St Didacus (a Franciscan laybrother, canonised 1588) and 4 Dec., St Barbara. The memorials for each month, several pages of which are lacking, are given after the part of the calendar for the appropriate month.
