JOURNAL of H.M.S. 'Sans Pareil', William Browell, Captain, kept by William Black; 8 Mar. 1795-28 Sept. 1797. The 'Sans Pareil', taken from the French off Cape Finisterre, 1 June 1794, was employed, after refit, in escorting convoys to Madeira and the Azores and on the blockade of Brest, Cadiz, the Loire and the Texel, as flagship of Rear-Adm. Lord Hugh Seymour, and took part in Lord Bridport's victory off Ile de Groix, Brittany, 23 June 1795, which made possible the French royalist landing at Quiberon, 27 June 1795. Paper; ff. iii + 214.
