Largely (perhaps entirely) collected by Augustus Keily, manager of the Exeter branch of the Devon and Cornwall Banking Co., circ. 1874- 1886. Most are addressed to Henry Sanford Bicknell, whose collection of paintings was sold at Christie's 7-8 Apr. 1881 and whose father, Elhanan Bicknell, was a friend of Keily's (two letters written by him to Keily are included in the present collection). Arranged alphabetically. Names of the writers are given in the index to the present Catalogue. Paper; ff. 37. Octavo. 1829-1867. Pencil notes by A. Keily.
