(1) Journals by Kay of excursions in and from Rome, with some related papers; 17 Feb. 1803-14 May 1804. The places visited include Morlupo, Asprucci, Marino and elsewhere in the Alban Hills, Palestrina, and Ostia. ff. 1-36.
(2) Miscellaneous correspondence; 1815-1825, n.d. Included are the following:-(a) a revision by Eleanor Anne Porden, afterw. 1st wife of Sir John Franklin, Arctic explorer, of her poem 'Christmas Eve' first written in 1817, with a covering letter (f. 40) to her sister (Mrs Kay?) for whom it was made; 24 Dec. 1822. ff. 40-42;-(b) letter from Sir John Franklin torelating to the progress of his second expedition to the Polar Sea; 11 Apr. 1825. f. 45. ff. 36-45. Paper; ff. 45. Quarto. XIX cent. Given in 1925 by Kay's granddaughter, Miss Edith Jupp, to Arthur Gray, Master of Jesus College, Cambridge (d. 1940). Presented by the latter's son, Sir John Milner Gray.
