CRUM PAPERS
45681-45690. LETTERS TO WALTER EWING CRUM, F.B.A. (d. 1944), from orientalists and other scholars, concerning Coptic studies and, in particular, the compilation of his Coptic Dictionary published between 1929 and 1939; 1884-1940. English, French, German and Italian, with numerous extracts in Coptic, Greek, Arabic, and other oriental languages. The letters, which include a few drafts of Crum's replies, are arranged alphabetically under the names of the writers or, in the case of letters from official bodies, of the place and name of the institution, etc., concerned. The names of the writers are given in the Index to the present Catalogue. For a bibliography of Crum's writings see Coptic Studies in honor of Walter Ewing Crum, Boston, Mass., 1950, pp. vii-xi.
