A. Letter from Thomas Erskine, 1st Baron Erskine, to Mrs Siddons, with verses, on her farewell appearance as Lady Macbeth; 30 June 1812. According to accompanying correspondence (ff. 3-4) the letter passed, by successive gifts, from Mrs Siddons to the Rev. George Hornby (d. 1872), Miss (?) A. de L. Lacy, Walter Frith, and the donor. ff. 1-2. Presented by E. G. Millar, Esq., D.Litt., F.S.A. B. Account, extracted from two letters written by an unnamed lady from Berlin at the court of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, dated 15 and [17] July 1761, of the arrival there of Col. David Graeme with proposals for the marriage of George III of England to Princess Charlotte; n.d. French. Accompanied by a descriptive note (f. 7) as owner, by Anne (d. 1858), daughter of Sir James Graham, 1st Bart., and wife of Gen. Sir Adolphus John Dalrymple, 2nd Bart.
