Contents:
ff. 1r-159v: A monastic Breviary with musical notation, beginning with the Temporale (ff. 1r-103v): 'Demoniacus iste apud Mattheum'; the Sanctorale (ff. 103v-159r); ending with the response 'Inclinans faciem meam', followed by an added antiphon for the Matins (ff. 159r-v). At least one quire is lacking between f. 127 and f. 128.
Decoration:
Large initials with zoomorphic and foliate decoration in red, green, blue and yellow (ff. 33v, 85r, 103v). Numerous initials in red, some with penwork decoration.

Foliation: ff. 159 (+ 4 unfoliated paper flyleaves at the beginning + 3 at the end).
Script: Late Caroline Minuscule.
Binding: Post-1600. Gold-tooled brown leather binding, the spine inscribed at the British Museum: 'BREVIARIUM, CUM NOTIS MUSICIS'.

Provenance:
Added antiphons for Matins, beginning 'Domine quinque talenta tradidisti michi' in a 13th-century hand (ff. 159r-159v).
An excerpt from an antiphon ('Auge in nobis domine fidem tuam') in a 14th-century hand (f. 2v); the same hand has added a note in the margin of f. 3v, and prayers for Matins and Vespers on f. 159v.
Added antiphons in a 14th-century script (ff. 159r-159v: Benedictus Deus).
