CORRESPONDENCE of the families of Savile, Earl of Halifax, and Finch, Earl of Nottingham, and their connections, 1626-1720. Included are also letters from other persons, generally referring to members of the families, and many of which are addressed to Sir Robert Southwell, Secretary of State in Ireland. At f. 36 is a letter from William Blathwayt, afterwards Secretary at War, giving an account of the quarrel between the Duke of Monmouth and Lord Halifax; 27 May, 1682. With additional copies of letters, and illustrative notes in a recent hand, and engraved portraits and cuttings. Paper. Folio.
