COLLECTIONS by Sir Samuel Rush Meyrick relating to the practice of Archery in England, consisting of various; printed tracts of the end of the xviiith cent., with MS. copies and papers, among which are:-"Extracts, Anecdotes, Observations, etc., relating to archery by Sir Samuel Meyrick, f. 111;--and "Articles agreed on by the Society of Archers, for the well ordering and regulateing of their Game yearely to be shott at in Finsbury Feilds, or other place nere adjoyning, and more especially for the present yeare 1687:" with "An account of the number of the archers that have shott at the Generall Targett" from 1658 to 1687, and names of the captains and lieutenants; continued to 1757. "The guift of William Marshall to the regiment." Copy on vellum. f. 138. Included are some coloured drawings of drill positions of the Loyal British Archers. Paper; xviiith and xixth centt. Folio.
