Annotations in the volume reveal that it was owned in the early 1800s by James William Windsor until some point after 1816 (when it is mentioned as being in Windsor's possession by William Linley). It was then owned by William Hamilton Junior until 1829, when it passed to Vincent Novello. Novello's letter to Thomas Oliphant of 1842 reveals that it was sold at some point prior to that. The volume later came into the possession of Oliphant, before being acquired by the British Museum in 1873.
