"BREIFE notes of Antiquitye of the famose Cittye of Chester, with the Succession of the names of all the Mayors and Sheriffes," etc., to the year 1622, and continued in other contemporary bands to 1646. The early part of the volume is in parts identical with the collections of Robert Rogers, Archdeacon of Chester [see Harl. MS. 1948]. In the list of Mayors, etc., are inserted numerous historical notes, chiefly relating to Chester. Paper; xviith cent. At f. 11 is the name of Mary Orange as owner; and at ff. 26 b, 27, 35 b are inserted entries of births of Peter and Richard Goose and Richard Goose, junior. Small Folio.
