"ACTUS et epistole Alexandri macedonis Imperatoris magni quomodo vniuersum orbem suo imperio subiugauit " : the abridged version of the Pseudo-Callisthenes, known as the Historia de Proeliis. See the Catalogue of Romances, p. 120. With the exception of the rubrics of the chapters, the text agrees generally with the edition printed at Strassburg in 1486. At f. 66, in another hand, is " Somnium Regis Pharaonis expositum de regia disciplina, et sunt xxti littere." Only the first letter and a few words of the second are given, the former containing the dedication of the work by the author, Jean de Limoges, to Thibaut, king of Navarre. At f. 67 b is an incomplete tale of a vision of a hermit " in britania," with accompanying diagrams of the human hand and its lines. Paper; ff. 68. Written in Italy, xivth cent. " Ex libris Francisci Petit, 1733 "; and afterwards belonged to C. Hwass. Quarto.
