1. " In this Booke is conteigned almanour of the kyng his Maiesties Guarderobe stuff remaynyng and being within his highnes Castell at Wyndesor iii the saulf custody keping and charge of William Tildesley"; Feb. 34 Hon. VIII. [1543]. f. 2. This inventory is supplemented by lists of furniture received down to the year 1546. On the first page is a memorandum of the subsequent surrender of the charge to Rauf Rowlandson, keeper of the Wardrobe to Queen Elizabeth, 2 Dec. 1562; and the different items are accounted for by marginal notes.
2. Inventory of furniture delivered into the custody of Humfrey Orme, keeper of the standing Wardrobe in the Tower of London 9 July, 1 Edw. VI. [1547]. Imperfect. f. 32. Preceded by a single leaf (f. 30), showing furniture received from Westminster Palace by the same Humfrey Orme, 26 July, 1547. The items of this inventory are marked in the Same way as those of art. 1 ; from which it appears that they were delivered to the same custody in 1562. With an interleaved transcript. Paper; ff. 65. Folio.
