Passim. Collection of solos for Lute. 1717-1724. The 'Weis' whose name is put to so many of them is probably Sylvius Leopold Weiss, but a few may be by his brother Sigismund, who was also a lutist, and by whom there is a composition on f. 33b. Probably other pieces besides those ascribed to them below are the work of one or other of the brothers. Number which appear to form suites are 1-7, 11-17, 20-25, 33-39, 40-45, 48-54, 56-61, 62-68, 69-73, 86-91, 92-97, 98-102, 104-109, 113-119, 128-133, 137-141, 142-151, 152-156, 158-163, 172-179, 180-185, 187-191, 193-198, 201-207, 217-222.
