Origin: Eastern Mediterranean.
Provenance:
Dated to the first half of the 10th century by Canart 1979, p. 346.
Colophon in three parts, written in uncial script, f 196r:
The third of these has been identified as a mis-transcribed set of three hexameters by Canart 1979, p. 346:
Canart argues that this colophon was transcribed by the scribe of this manuscript from an uncial manuscript of Ps-Dionysius copied by Methodius, future Patriarch of Constantinople, at Rome.
On f 214v is some scribbling with the name Παπᾶς Σαβάς, and on f 214r a note, dated Ιουνίου (for July?) 1715, relating to the capture of Nauplion by the Turks.
Belonged to Bertram Ashburnham, 4th Earl of Ashburnham (1797-1878) (Appendix no. 211, sale-catalogue 1 May, 1899, lot 143).
