JOURNALS of travels and parochial matters, by Rev. John Skinner, Rector of Camerton, co. Somerset, profusely illustrated with water-colour drawings, and in a few instances with engravings, of the places visited and antiquities discovered; 1788-1832. With the exception of a tour in Holland, 1788-1789 (Vol. I.), a northern tour, 1825 (Vols. LI.-LVII.), and a French tour, 1828 (Vols. LXXII.- LXXIX.), the journeys were confined to the South of England, and chiefly to Somersetshire and neighbouring counties. Some of them wore taken in company witli Sir Rich. Colt Hoare, Bart., the Wiltshire antiquary, and all were planned for arehæological purposes. Transcribed by Russell Skinner, brother of the author, with numerous additions by the latter. Ninety-eight volumes. Paper. Small Quarto. Bequeathed by the author in October, 1839, to remain unopened for 50 years. The contents of the several volumes are as follows:-
