JOURNAL of a Voyage from England to the Persian Gulf (touching at Rio, Ceylon, and Bombay) and of travels in Persia, 1810-1815 ; by James P. Morier, Secretary to the British Embassy, afterwards (from 18 Apr. 1814) Minister Plenipotentiary to Persia. The contents, in a compressed and otherwise altered form, were published by Morier as A Second Journey throughs Persia (London, 1818). With numerous pen-and-ink drawings, most of which (besides many others not contained here) were reproduced as engravings in the printed work. The last vol. ends with Morier's arrival at Tabriz on Oct. 26 (see p. 390 of the printed work; the journey from Tabriz to Constantinople, narrated on pp. 391-400, is wanting here).
