" Chroinijck van Brabant ende ander omliggende landen int dichte, ende meest van Antwerpen " : said in an introduction at f. 87 (in a later hand) to be a copy, from the original by an unknown author, written by Joannes Gevaerts the advocate (ob. at Antwerp, 1613), father of Caspar Gevaerts, and annotated by him in the margins, after comparison with the chronicles of Ortelius and others. It begins with a prologue: " Dut at geschapen heef hemel ende eerde," etc. ; after which the chronicle begins at the year " ab orbe condito 3897 " (f. 89), and goes down to the year 1557. f. 88.
12. " Dagelijcke geschiedenissen van den Nederlanden," especially those relating to Antwerp, from 1569 to 1576. f. 113. Many other parts of the volume besides art. 11, notably artt. 9, 10, and 12, appear to be in the handwriting of Gevaerts. Paper; ff. 156. xvith-xviith centt. Folio.
