ORIGINAL ACCOMPTS Of the College of St. Mary, Mettingham, co. Suffolk; 4 Hen. IV.-7 Hen. VIII. [1402-1516]. Latin. The college was originally founded at Raveningham, co. Norfolk, in 1343, removed to Norton Subcourse, co. Norfolk, in 1371, and transferred to Mettingham in 1382. Six volumes. Vol. IV. contains (ff. 100-141) an Extent of Bungay Manor, co. Suffolk, 32 Hen. VI. [1453-4], preceded (f. 94) by the transcript of a general pardon in English from Henry [VIII.] to Elizabeth Stevenson, Prioress, and to the Priory of Bungay, 2 July, ao 2 [1510]. In Vol. V. (ff. 128, 142 b) are two Latin hymns, or more probably two parts of one hymn, with musical notation. See also ff. 181, 182. Paper; ff. 144, 138, 205, 144, 183, 153. Formerly belonged to Thomas Martin, of Palgrave (ob. 1771), and Thomas Manning, and lately to Charles Robertson Manning, Rector of Diss. The Register of the College, which perhaps formed part of this set, and was in the posseission of T. Martin of Palgrave, is now Stowe MS. 934. Quarto.
