" GEOMETRIA Euclidis ab Adalardo Bathoniensi commentata," with the figures neatly drawn in the margins. This work is usually attributed to Joannes Campanus Novariensis, by whom, however, Adalard's work was merely revised. At the end are the following additions in various hands of the end of the 13th aud beginning of the 14th centuries:-
1. Tables of the motions of the moon for the years 1371-1380, followed by similar tables for 1345-1380 of the constellation " Caput Draconis " and the planets Saturn and Jupiter, and of Mars for 1345-1356 only. Lat. f. 79.
2. Chronicle of events, chiefly in England, from 1067 to 1124, with additions from 1194 to 1294. Lat. f. 90.
3.Treatise on auguries from flight of birds,etc.,in Span. and Lat. f.93.
4. Astrological treatise and tables of zodiacal signs, etc., the former beg. " Ista tabula Alfragani et Josaphi sic operanda est circa indices lunarum." ff. 93 b, 94.
5. S. Methodii Episcopi Patarensis liber de principio sæuli. f. 94 b.
6. Philosophical apophthegms, rules to be observed for blood-letting, etc. ; followed by some moral precepts in elegiac verse. Latff. 97-98 b, 99 b.
7. Liturgical and theological observations. Fr. and Lat. f. 99.
8. Thirteen quatrains of Latin rhyming verse, beg. " Ecce mundus moritur vicio sepultus" (see W. Map's Latin Poems, ed. T. Wright, 1841, p. 149); followed by 12 lines beg. " Si mihi sponsa decens et si formosa, quid inde." f. 99 b. Vellum; ff. 99. xiiith cent. With book-plate of Edward Hailstone. Small Quarto.
