'Motectorum quæ in Sacello Summi Pontificis statis per annum temporibus concinuntur quatuor., quinis, senis, octonisque vocibus, Pars ia ,' copied by the Abbé Fortunato Santini in 1835, and presented by him to the Rev. Edward Goddard, to whom the Latin dedication is addressed. The motets are all composed by G. P. L. Palestrina, with the exception of one for the first Sunday in Advent by Gregorio Allegri, two for Christmas Day by Giovanni Maria Nanini, and a " Tu es Petrus " by Tomas Luis de Vittoria.

All of them, except nos. 7, 10 and 13, occur also in Egerton MS 2460 (below, p. 359). Unless the contrary is stated, they are by Palestrina, and for 6 voices.
