COLLECTIONs relating to Lincolnshire, viz.:-
1. Collections relating to Lincoln Cathedral, beginning with a list of Bishops and a list of parish churches in the city collected in 1644 " by the industrey of Robert Sandford." f. 2. This article (which is written in a 12mo note-book) also contains some notes on Sherwood Forest (f. 14), notes from the records of Bardney Abbey (f. 22), and an exhortation [to a jury ?] on the sanctity of oaths (f. 26).
2. " A note of all the offices and fees, etc., belonging to Lincolne Minster, 1661," followed by other notes relating to the diocese. f. 35. In the same hand as Add. 34,140, written on paper of 12mo size.
3. Lincolnshire parochial collections; compiled, according to the beading inserted by Sir Joseph Banks, by Ralph Bigland [Garter King of Arms, 1780-1784], and containing church notes and records of remarkable events, and (f. 51 b) a glossary of the Lincolnshire dialect. f. 42.
4. Lists of Lincolnshire parishes and incumbents, 16th-18th centt., the last date given being 1759 ; with a few notes of events, 1747- 1752. Apparently in the same hand as art. 3. f. 56. Paper; ff. 75. xviith (artt. 1 and 2) and xviiith centt. Belonged to Sir Joseph Banks (see a note, on p. 1, by Ernest L. Grange, late editor of Lincolnshire Notes and Queries). Quarto.
