CORRESPONDENCE of William Nicolson, Archdeacon and [1702] Bishop of Carlisle, Bishop of Derry [17181, and Archbishop of Cashel [1727, ob. 1727], consisting of his holograph drafts and the original replies of his correspondents; 1683-1727. The whole of the letters are included in the edition published by John Nichols, 1809. Some refer to Francis Atterbury, Dean of Carlisle [1704- 1711]; and on ff. 101-124 are the papers relating to the " Case of the Bp. of Carlile as Local Visitor of his Chapter," consequent on the Bishop's intervention in the disputes between the Dean and the Chapter in 1707.
