2. Rent-book of Mary Sandys, widow of Miles Sandys, of Latimers, co. Bucks., 1603-1613, almost all the payments being made by her sons Sir Edwin and Sir William Sandys. f. 5. At ff. 4 b, 16, 16 b are pedigrees of the Sandys family, and at f. 16 is a copy of a memorandum by Mary Sandys of a promise made to her by her son Bowyer concerning a leave from her nephew John Coult, 7 Jan. 1608 [9] (see Add. 24,359, f. 45). At f. 19 is a recipe " to make good inke." Paper; ff. 19. xvith and xviith centt. With book-plate of arms of William Bateman (ob. 1835), and with a note by him (f. 4) of his having given a MS. (now Add. 24,359) to the Rev. Joseph Hunter, 23 July, 1828. Folio.
