AUTOBIOGRAPICAL Memoirs, in French, of Ekaterina Romanovna, Princess Dashkova (or Daschkaw), transcribed, in 1805, during a residence with the Princess, by Miss Martha Wilmot, afterwards Mrs. Bradford, from the original draught. In several places a few lines, and, in some instances, longer passages, are in the handwriting of the Princess. An English version of the Memoirs was published by Mrs. Bradford in 1840. The differences between this version and the present MS. are noted (ff., 7, 8) among, some explanatory papers prefixed, one of which (f. 9) is by Prince Alexis Lobanow-Rostowsky, Russian Ambassador in England, giving the result of a comparison, made in December, 1880, of this MS. with another autograph copy of the Memoirs, recently found in the archives of Prince Woronzow.
