PORTION of a register of charters, rentals, and other evidences of the abbey of St. Edmund, at Bury, co. Suffolk, principally under the heads of Hildercle or Hindercle [Hinderclay] and Rykynghalle [Rickinghall]. The original numbering of the leaves runs from 193 to 254 and from 278 to 289. At the end are added in a later hand abstracts of liveries, customs, and by-laws of the manor of Redgrave, Gyslyngham, and Wortheham (f. 70); of Rykynghall otherwise called Westhall (f. 80); of Hyndercley (f. 84); and of Ingham (f. 88 b). Vellum; ff. 91. XVth and XVIth centuries. In buiding, of stamped 1eather witli brass bosses, of the 16th century. See Add. MS. 14,850, a companion volume. Folio.
