LETTER-BOOK of John Wallis, D.D., Savilian Professor of Astronomy at Oxford, decipherer of political correspondence to the government, etc., containing originals and copies of ciphered letters, with decipherings and keys, and including covering and other letters to Dr. Wallis from the Earls of Nottingham and Shrewsbury, Secretaries of State, and others, with copies of his replies, etc.; 1651-1701. The volume has been extensively used by the author of the Memoirs of Dr. Wallis, prefixed to his Sermons, London, 1791. The ciphered letters are as follows:-
