ff. 1-3. A Sacred composition with Latin words, consisting of a prelude and at least 7 vocal numbers, of which the first begins with the words ‘Parce mihi, Domine,’ the fifth is a duet, and the last a trio. The accompaniments are apparently for strings. 18th century. The composer's name is not given, but he was probably a Frenchman. The only parts which remain are 1 vocal (treble) and 1 instrumental (1st violins?).
ff. 6b-9. Sonata III, op. 16, for violin, with a bass for pianoforte, in score, by [Felice] Giardini. About 1784. Apparently the copy used as an exercise by William [afterwards Dr.] Crotch.
ff. 10-11b. Melody with figured bass, in score, of the overture to 'Solomon' by Dr. [William] Boyce. In the hand of Dr. [J. W.] Callcott, as certified by his son, William Hutchins Callcott, in 1860.
ff. 61-64. Four-part composition, in parts, copied in 1868 from an inscription on a bell at St. Mary's, Oxford, founded by Newcombe of Leicester in 1612. See also Add MS 33205.
