An attempt has been made to erase the text, ff. 1v, 353. Prayers, etc., for the Feasts of the Visitation, St Ann and St Dorothy, are over-written in 15th cent. hands, f. 353v. Probably owned originally by the Abbey of Weihenstephan, Bavaria, the volume was later in the library of Baron Karl Marie Erenbert von Moll (1765-1822), councillor to the King of Bavaria. A memorandum 'Purchased in Bar. Moll's Collection.A.S.', occurs, f. 1: possibly in the hand of Adolf Heinrich Friedrich von Schlichtegroll, Director of the Academy of Munich. Purchase with part of Baron Moll's library in 1815.

The first section of the MS., articles 1-5 (ff. 1-161v) differs from the rest of the volume in having quires of paper and vellum: the watermarks in this part of the MS. do not occur elsewhere. 310 x 210mm. Gatherings of 12 (i lacks 1, xiv10, xxiv4, xxvi14, xxxi lacks 11, 12). In quires i-xiii (ff. 2*-156), 6 and 7 are of vellum; in quire i, 12 is also of vellum. Catchwords regular. Signatures: arabic numerals on foot of rectos, quires xii-xiv, xxvii, xxx-xxxi. Double columns.
