Music at f. 72v is set to two lines of verse, beg. 'If thow do make to god a vowe'. Ex libris of Philip Maile al. Mayle, mid 16th cent., ff. 1v, 41v, 42v. The first lines of a bond entered into by Leonard Hill of Hill Court, co. Salop., are written, late 16th cent. (f. 73v). Presented by Henry Clifton, Esq., of Worcester, 12 June 1830.
Paper and vellum; ff. ii+73. 203 x 145mm. Gatherings of paper, with central vellum strips taken from a 14th cent. MS.: i16, ii-v12, vi8 (lacks 8?). Vellum fly-leaves and end papers. Catchwords regular from f. 17v, some cropped. Signatures, romans, mostly cropped. Double columns. One cursive book script throughout. Capitals, headings, etc., in red. ff. 27-29 damaged, with loss of text. Watermarks: a pot, an anchor, letter [I?]. Original binding, wooden boards, vellum spine. 210 x 150mm. Metal clasp fitting survives on back board only.
