Italian, Latin, and Spanish. Copies, 17th cent. The MS. contains a register of letters (ff. 79-138v) of Pope Paul IV (1555-1559), in Latin, dated 7 Dec. 1557 - 6 March 1558, signed by Luigi Lippomano, Bishop of Verona. The MS. also includes a proclamation (ff. 139-142v) of King Philip and Queen Mary I of England against King Henry II of France, 8 June 1557, in Italian translation, and the treaty of marriage (ff. 251-262v) between Queen Mary I of England and Prince Philip of Spain, [1554], in Latin, of which another copy in Add. 48000 (Yelverton MS. 1; art. 49, ff. 436-446v). Also included: - (a) relazione of France by Camillo Capilupi (in collaboration with his uncle Ippolito Capilupi), relating to Charles IX and the Huguenots, 8 Oct. 1572 (ff. 2-78), edited and published by G.F.
