Owned by Frederick North, 5th Earl of Guilford, but lacking his armorial bookplate. '107' in pencil in upper left corner of front pastedown. Purchased, together with Add. 8333, 8334, 8335, 8336, 8337, 8342, 8345, 8349, 8350, 8351, 8352, 8360, and 8812, from R. H. Evans, 8 Dec. 1830, lot 107 (part).

Che si dice di me, domando Christo Salvator nostro a suoi discepoli, quantunque sapesse il tutto', political discourse by Nicolò Zambecaro addressed to Pope Urban VIII; 1623-1644. Italian. Copy. Inc. 2. ff. 39-84v. 'Instruttione seu memorie a Vosignoria ... Signor Cardinal Barberino Legato de latere a due Re per andare prima in ragione di negotio e di viaggio al Christianissimo raccolte da proprii ragionamenti di Nostro Signore che concernono i presenti moti della Republica Cattolica', instructions from Pope Urban VIII to Cardinal Francesco Barberino sent as legatus a latere to France in relation to the Valtelline (17 March - 20 Dec. 1625); [1625].
